| As this blog has discussed previously, the legislature is considering S.B. 228, a bill that would untie one of the more detrimental knots in Colorado's budget straitjacket: the so-called"Arveschoug-Bird" provision.
Great Education Colorado has created a quick and simple way to tell the Governor and your legislators to support S.B. 228 so looming cuts in state funding for schools, colleges and other critical services won't become permanent.

The bipartisan S.B. 228 will repeal the "Arveschoug-Bird" limit and allow decisions about state spending to be made according to current priorities -- rather than by an arbitrary, eighteen-year-old formula that favors roads over schools and colleges.
